I was lucky to work with Darlene twice during my career - first as a beginning special ed administrator back in the early '90s and finally this past year as a veteran (old) special ed administrator. Darlene was a role model for having high expectations for students and making learning meaningful and authentic. And she taught me that details matter and documentation is required. We will miss her leadership at Kirchner and Dogwood Hills Schools.
