What I lLearned from Karen

Karen taught me and my family so much. I loved her dearly and treasure what I learned from her. She made my life better. Here are a few things I learned.

Little boys should jump on the bed.

There is always room for ice cream.

Skipplng rocks on the river is a skill every boy needs.

Buy a little red wagon for a kid even if you have to pull it for hours..

Watch a movie and read the book. Don’t just watch the movie.

A grandson is the greatest joy. A grandmother should spoil grandkids.

A campfire is a summer’s pleasure. Don’t be afraid to poke it with a stick.

Support the arts. Be creative.

Look good. You can wear leopard print.

Exercise every day. Dance when you can.

Kayaking is a four-season activity.

Share what you have, even your moonshine.

Have fun. Host the party. Everyone is welcome.

Shop the flea market. Treasures await.

Fundraising for charity is fun.

Find a safe place to sit at a baseball game.

Skydiving is worth the risk.

A road trip is good for the soul. Colorado is beautiful..

Love your kids most of all. Encourage them to achieve their dreams. That is your greatest achievement.

Open your heart and home to others in their time of need.

Hold someone’s hand in the dark.

Forgive the unforgivable.

Everyone has demons.

Leave the site better than you found it.
