Christie Barnhart

Karen gave my baby shower when I was pregnant with my daughter, Anna, who just turned 11. I first got to know her when we served on the Joplin Chamber Board together and at my first board retreat we shared a room. The friendship grew from there and I considered her a mentor, a role model and a friend. Oh my the laughs we had. As time went on we lost touch. She moved, I was busy with work and raising kids and I will always regret that. It was nice seeing her on Facebook and she looked radiant!!! There was just a special something about her that made people want to know her. That is a quality that few people have in this world. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family but most of all her children Matt and Megan. I have dealt with the grief of losing both my parents. I pray you are comforted knowing she is in a place of peace and love, and that you focus on all the wonderful memories of a truly amazing lady. All my love, Christie Barnhart
