Condolence From: Gary Duncan
Condolence: Our condolences to Karen's family. Met Karen first at Freeman Hospital when she came to work as administrative assistant to the Director of Nursing. When Kay Breinig was hired she and Karen mate quite a pair. Karen was a hard worker, fiercely loyal and a comedic force in the Administration offices. I followed her career through Roy's Rentals. Since have followed on FB. The world has lost a terrific person way too soon. RIP Karen.

Condolence: I first met and got to know Karen when we were kayaking our wonderful Ozark rivers. She was a fun person to be around and she really enjoyed floating. It won't seem the same not seeing her in a kayak or at a campsite.

Condolence From: Christie Barnhart
Condolence: Karen gave my baby shower when I was pregnant with my daughter, Anna, who just turned 11. I first got to know her when we served on the Joplin Chamber Board together and at my first board retreat we shared a room. The friendship grew from there and I considered her a mentor, a role model and a friend. Oh my the laughs we had. As time went on we lost touch. She moved, I was busy with work and raising kids and I will always regret that. It was nice seeing her on Facebook and she looked radiant!!! There was just a special something about her that made people want to know her. That is a quality that few people have in this world. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family but most of all her children Matt and Megan. I have dealt with the grief of losing both my parents. I pray you are comforted knowing she is in a place of peace and love, and that you focus on all the wonderful memories of a truly amazing lady.
All my love, Christie Barnhart
