All my love and sympathies to Jim's family and friends. I first "met" him over the radio a few years ago helping with the Friday HF radio net the NWS offices run as a part of the office to office backup communications practice (Skywarn related). Then I "bumped" into him again on the VoIP Hurricane Net group as I was learning the ropes with Hurricane Matthew in 2016. I really do appreciate all his kind patience and skill as I was getting up to speed to help as well on the radio. He was a big hearted guy who was very devoted to helping others when they were facing really difficult situations. Working alongside him last year with Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria was an extraordinary experience. I'm glad he got to continue doing the assistance that he loved and thank you for making that easier for him. Peace to all of you and to Jim who has walked beyond now.
