Daniel Peana was born on August 14th, 1952 in Bucharest Romania, to Peter and Theodora Peana. As a young man, he was a gifted athlete in addition to being exceptionally intelligent. He exceled in school and obtained his mechanical engineering Masters Degree at the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest and a Masters Degree of engineering at Florida Atlantic University. After Naturalizing in 1984, he began a distinguished career as a Senior Research and Development Engineer for multiple companies, including Motorola and Boston Scientific. He authored multiple patents and was well respected both in the US and Internationally for his work.
Daniel met his lovely wife, Emilia, in Brasov, Romania and they were married on April 13th, 1991. Daniel was dedicated to his family and lived according to Joshua 24:15 “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord”. They have three children, Samuel, Deborah, and David. Daniel was immensely proud of his children and regarded them as his greatest blessings. As a family, they have a lifetime of beautiful memories together.
In addition to his career, Daniel dedicated his talents to the Lord by being an active member of Grace Romanian Church in Springfield, Missouri. He served several administrative roles as secretary of the church and co-director of the Sunday School, together with his wife Emilia. Daniel was a strong man of faith and shared the importance of faith and knowing Jesus whenever he had the chance. He will be deeply missed for his spiritual strength and leadership in the church.
Daniel went to be with the Lord on January 16th, 2018, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens on January 27th, 2018 following the service. Reverend Pavel Pop, Senior Pastor, will officiate the service.
