At the age of 55, I decided to try my hand at flyfishing. Maybe it was because I looked like Bambi wading into Taneycomo that day and was awestruck watching Duffy pull in fish after fish (on barbless hooks I found out later), he took me under his wing. Now ten years later, even though we only greeted each other only once a year by that outlet, my heart says goodbye to a superb gentleman, fantastic fisherman and a good friend. I will still be reaching out to you in thought for advice and promise I will always check at the end of a swing and crimp those barbs ( well maybe after I’ve got a few first 😉) Thanks for the memories and tell my Mom hi for me up there. If she’s not holding the babies, she’ll be out fishin too. Prayers and sympathy to your family and friends you leave behind.
