Condolences

Condolence From: Richard and Darlene Dunstan
Condolence: Duffy not only helped young people, he helped my wife Darlene and I on fly fishing. We are active seniors from Dallas area fish Taneycomo twice a year.

We are sorry to hear of his passing, I was looking forward to seeing him there this week by the stairs at the outlet. He helped so many know he will be there in spirit.

Condolence From: Carolyn Parker
Condolence: My condolence to Duffy's family. A huge void has been left in our local fly fishing family with his passing. Many young fly fishers can thank him for getting them started. His mark will always be here as long as those new fly fishers keep going, and I certain many of them will as I'm sure he instilled in them his love for the sport.

Condolence From: Gina Leitle
Condolence: My sympathies to your family for the loss of Duffy. He was a good man and undoubtedly as large a presence in your family’s lives as he was in ours as fly fishers. Since I started fishing at Taneycomo, Duffy was always there. I’ll miss him. May he Rest In Peace. My prayers for your family.

Condolence: At the age of 55, I decided to try my hand at flyfishing. Maybe it was because I looked like Bambi wading into Taneycomo that day and was awestruck watching Duffy pull in fish after fish (on barbless hooks I found out later), he took me under his wing. Now ten years later, even though we only greeted each other only once a year by that outlet, my heart says goodbye to a superb gentleman, fantastic fisherman and a good friend. I will still be reaching out to you in thought for advice and promise I will always check at the end of a swing and crimp those barbs ( well maybe after I’ve got a few first 😉) Thanks for the memories and tell my Mom hi for me up there. If she’s not holding the babies, she’ll be out fishin too. Prayers and sympathy to your family and friends you leave behind.

Condolence: What a great friend, always had a gleam on his face, willing to help others
especially young kids when came to teaching them how to trout fish.
He took great pleasure in guiding them and watching them catch that 1st fish.
Will be surely missed by everyone who fishes Lake Taneycomo and I am honored to call him my friend. RIP
