An Inspiration

Ellen's positive impact on every one she came in contact-and that includes the countless students she worked with at OTC- was immeasurable.  I believe this student, who was enrolled in one of the courses Ellen taught at OTC, has done a beautiful job sharing how Ellen touched her life.  I am grateful to this student for sharing.

 

"I’m lost for words. A very caring, generous, loving OTC instructor I had in the Spring, this year, had passed away on Monday. She was such a kind spirited woman. She provided guidance to all of her students, and a sweet lady, all around. She was welcoming too. Although, I think the Spring semester was her last - she decided to retire and focus on a church group, if I’m not mistaken. She believed in my goals, as well as all of her students, and she wanted to make sure we were on the right path to our careers. She was so encouraging, and if something wasn’t right, she would want to make it right, if she could. It didn’t matter if it was academics or personal life. She always seemed to have the right inspiring words to make sure you knew someone believed in you, and that you are worth more than you think. She will be missed in tremendous ways."
