Mary Elizabeth Bresson, 88, passed away peacefully at Maranatha Manor on October 2, 2018. She was born August 11, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan.
Mary was a wonderful mother and was much loved by her 8 children, grand and great-grandchildren, and everyone who knew her. In her early years she was PTA president and worked graveyard shift as a keypunch operator.
An accomplished musician, she sang in choirs, played piano, organ or accordion in church for most of her life, and enjoyed her creative craft making hobbies.
Mary was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God serving as pastor in the USA and missionary to Belgium. Her final years were spent happily living at Maranatha Village where she fostered friendship with residents and staff.
Mary is preceded by her parents, Alex and Elizabeth Drobish; her firstborn son, Victor Bresson, and her husband of 65 years, Verle Bresson. She leaves behind her children; David Bresson (Karen), Rebecca Juarez (David), Elizabeth Hess, Jonathan Bresson (Molly), Mark Bresson (Dulce), Ruth Suski (Mike), Bernie Bresson (Janet), and many grand and great-grandchildren of whom she was very proud and cherished deeply.
Mary will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor, devotion to God and church and her ability to make everyone feel like her best friend.
