Skippy

I first met Skip in a snow storm in the winter of 1988ish, he was doing donuts and goofing around on our street so we invited him in and he bashfully accepted. He was this adorable friend of my daughter's who's smile could light up a room. He was friendly and courteous and didn't stay long, just long enough to warm up a little. I didn't see him for many years until his car broke down, down the hill and my younger son who had never met him brought him to the house to use the phone and imagine our surprise when it was Skip. It turns out that he was our neighbor about 2 blocks over, for years. If I was outside when he rode by on his motorcycle he would always stop and chat a minute, or if we passed each other on the street. He was truly a sweet, nice and funny person and I will surely miss his smiling face and his laughter. Truly gone way too soon.
