Lance Corbett Feyh passed away on July 12. He was kind, gentle soul with a creative mind. Lance was a prolific, published writer. He was passionate about sports and was fortunate to attend game 7 of the 1985 World Series when the Royals beat the Cardinals. He was an avid reader sharing the same birthday as Kurt Vonnegut Jr, one of his favorite authors. Lance loved RUSH, “thinking man’s music”, and saw them live many times. However, his son Henry, was the greatest joy in life.
At Missouri S&T at Rolla, he worked in communications and also taught classes. He often shared the story of following the university’s solar car from Texas to Alberta, with Tom (One Toke Over the Line) Shipley.
He is survived by his parents, Ron and Phyllis Feyh; his brother, Jeremy Feyh; and his much-loved son, Henry August Feyh. He will be missed by many friends, including Vera Kohut; as well as a large extended family that loved him dearly.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 10:00-11:00 am with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am in Southminster Presbyterian Church. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his son’s college fund, through Greenlawn Funeral Home 441 W Battlefield, Springfield, MO. 65807
