Just one memory

Many years ago near the begiining of Dad and Shirls marriage they bought a drive in theatre.  During our first weekend there the hotel in town was so bad we decided to stay at the theatre in the backroom.  We all layed down to go to sleep and we heard a loud crash.  I felt things hitting me.  When we turned the lights on there were pizza boxes everywhere and paint cans that hit the floor. (Glad the paint cans didn't hit my head)  Apparently the previous owners had put too much on the shelf.   Most of the paint cans popped open so we spent the next several hours mopping up paint. Trust me it sucked.  Shirl was always right there no matter what was going on.  She helped mix mud to lay rocks and she helped carry survey poles through the woods.  She was a very special lady who considered me her son and I always considered her one of my moms.   I was more blessed than most people.  Love Doug
