Obituary for Polly Anna Buzbee

Polly Anna Buzbee
Polly Anna Buzbee, 88, of Rogersville, passed away May 11, 2018.
She was born March 30, 1930 in Bromide, Oklahoma to Omer Ray Finch and Myrl Joy Kinsey. Polly was the valedictorian of her high school class in Tupelo, Oklahoma. She played and loved basketball.
On December 5, 1947, she married Hollis Owen Buzbee in Colgate, Oklahoma. Polly was a great wife and mother, a homemaker with amazing cooking talents and very proud of her four sons.
Polly had a career change when she became the receptionist for Buzbee Dental. She retired in 1998.
Polly was a member of First Baptist Church of Ozark and prior to that Jefferson Avenue Baptist Church.
Polly enjoyed attending the Frisco Retirement Club meetings with Hollis and served as President of the Frisco Ladies Auxiliary. Nothing made her happier than to be around family and she enjoyed being “Memaw” to her grand children and great-grand children. She had a great passion for her yard and garden and spent endless hours making them perfect. Polly was preceded in death by Hollis, her husband of almost 60 years. Survivors include her four sons Dr. Gary Buzbee, Larry Buzbee, Terry Buzbee (Rhonda) and Dr. Roger D. Buzbee (Teresa), ten grandsons, three granddaughters and 14 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother and sister-in-law Ray and Ruth Finch, two nieces and two nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 pm Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, Missouri.
Private burial will be on Friday in Hazelwood Cemetery.
The family would like to express thanks and gratitude for the kind and compassionate care providers and Hospice Compassus.
