Obituary for Judith Carol Deatherage

Judith Carol  Deatherage
Judith Carol Deatherage, age 74, passed away at 3:45 P.M. on Friday, April 27th, 2018 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO.

She was born in Chicago, IL on September 25th, 1943 to Wiley Wilson Reynolds and Neva Reynolds. She married Junior Grant Deatherage on January 30th, 1960 and had 3 children, Jeffery, Jim, and Mark. Judy worked as a longtime employee for Walmart before retiring.

On April 27th, 2018 Judith was united to the love of her life Junior Grant Deatherage. Junior and Judy celebrated 56 years of marriage before he passed away on February 19th, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Junior, parents, and brother Donnie Reynolds.

Judy is survived by son and daughter-in law Jeffery Deatherage and Lisa Deatherage from Leawood, KS, sons Jim Deatherage and Mark Deatherage of Springfield, MO, grandchildren Kyle Deatherage and his wife Ashley Deatherage of Rogersville, MO, Amber Deatherage of Springfield, MO, Sydney Deatherage of Washington D.C., Nick Deatherage of Kansas City, MO, Brooklynn Deatherage, Autumn Deatherage, Nathan Deatherage and Calli Deatherage of Springfield, MO, great-grandchildren Maliyah Deatherage and Sadie Deatherage of Springfield, MO, and dear friend Billie Denny Deatherage of Kansas City, MO.

Services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E. Seminole, Springfield, MO on May 1st at 12 noon with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. The burial will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery on May 1st at 2 pm. Flowers may be sent to Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
