Best friend in Kindergarten

I just found out that Kevin passed this year. He and I grew up together in Canon City. He was my best friend in grade school for several years even though I was a girl. My mom knew his mom growing up in Gunnison and my Grandparents were best friends with his. My brother Grant Adkisson always tried to check on him and visit when he was in Missouri. My Dad was especially fond of Kevin and thought of him as another son. His Dad and mine were very good friends and both worked together at the prison in Canon City, Colorado. I lost tabs on Kevin years ago and am so sorry to read of his passing. The last time I saw him was when he came to meet my son after he was born 36 years ago. He was always such a good guy. I'm sorry to say I have never gotten to hear him sing and didn't even know he did. He never showed off for us in High School but I did sing in the choir with him. Just want to pass on my condolences. He was a good guy. I wish he would have had a much longer life. God bless his family and I know that he and my dad and his dad are singing their beautiful music in heaven. RIP old friend.
