Obituary for Larry James Garlits
Larry Garlits, age 67, Springfield passed away Thursday, April 12th, 2018 at home.
Larry was born December 9, 1950 in Springfield, IL, to Dale and Phyllis Garlits. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was united in marriage to Sandra Hays on November 25, 1988. Larry worked as a barber for twenty five years, he later worked as a heavy equipment operator. Larry and Sandra loved to fish and hunt. Larry truly enjoyed life.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sandra J. Garlits; one son, Travis Garlits and Ana, of North Hills, CA; one grandson, Romel James Garlits; two brothers, Dale Garlits and Dave Garlits; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Phyllis Garlits.
A memorial visitation will held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
