Obituary for Gladys Belle Zweerink (Lively)
Gladys Belle (Lively) Zweerink, age 90, of Springfield passed away Friday, April 6th, 2018 at The Manor at Elfindale.
Gladys was born July 21, 1927 in Swedeborg, to Luther and Edith Lively. Gladys was united in marriage to Wayne Carroll Zweerink on May 25, 1946, in Waynesville, Mo. Gladys was a charter member of Hillcrest Presbyterian Church, where she was very active, serving as a Deacon and Elder. Gladys took great pride in being a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and camping. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years Wayne Carroll Zweerink; one son Randy Zweerink and wife Janet, Springfield, Mo; one daughter, Sandy Euliss, Tulsa, Ok; four grandchildren, Ryan Zweerink, Rene Flatness, Melisa Weaver, Marci Euliss; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Benny Brown, Crocker, Mo; and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Luther Lively and Edith Brown; two brothers, Bob Lively and Eddie Lively.
The family will receive friends from 9-10 am, Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Hillcrest Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 10th, 2018 at 10:00 am in Hillcrest Presbyterian Church 818 East Norton Road Springfield, Missouri 65803, with burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in Gladys' name to the Southwest Missouri Humane Society.
