Diana Elizabeth  Haslip (Johnson)
Diana Elizabeth Haslip, aged 73, of Springfield, MO peacefully passed away in the late evening on Tuesday, January 23 in the company of her husband of 55 years, Ray Haslip at James River Nursing Home following a brief stay.
The daughter of the late Martha and Herman Johnson, Diana was born on March 4, 1944 and has four sisters: Linda Purdy, Suzy Mayfield, Mary (Ronnie) Shisler and Kathy (Don) Brite. She has three brothers: Mike (Shirley) Johnson, David (June) Johnson and Danny (Sue) Johnson.
Diana and her devoted husband, Ray, were married on February 9, 1962 and together they raised three daughters: Tammy (Eric) Jackson, Tarry (Ron) Lance and Tinaya (Tom) House. Also, two sons: Tony Haslip and Travis Haslip.
Their children have raised two granddaughters: Jacqueline Knudson and Kori Haslip. Also, ten grandsons: Thomas (Heather) House, Jr., Reid Lance, Steven House, Riley (Teresa) Lance, Gregory (Julie) House, Jared Haslip, Matthew House, Kaleb House, Rayce Lance and Royal Lance.
Their grandchildren have raised ten great grandchildren. Three great granddaughters: Faith House, Hope House and Hazel House. Also, seven great grandsons: Ryan Kerr, Rain Lance, Christopher House, Reagan Lance, August House, Ronin Lance and Raiden Lance.
Diana is preceded in death by her great grandson Ronald "Ronnie" Lance and her half sister, Patricia Gilmartin.
As a faithful Baptist, Diana volunteered in various areas of the church. Specifically as a Sunday school teacher and Acteens director. Her final membership was with Macedonia Baptist Church in Springfield, Mo for the past twenty plus years.
Educationally and professionally, Diana completed two years of college at Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO with studies focused on child development. She served as a day care director at multiple day care facilities.
Fondly known as "Dee," "Mom" and "Nana," Diana was deeply loved by her family. She will be sorely missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be Friday, January 26, 2018 from 6:00 ~ 8:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hope Cemetery.
