Obituary for Betty Jean Parris (Bussing)
Betty Jean (Pug) Parris 86, Springfield, MO. passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018, after a long illness. She was born on July 13, 1931, in Rossville, Georgia, to Halsie and Sarah (Potter) Bussing. A homemaker, she was a member of the Berean Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Parris, by one grandchild: and one great-grandchild.
Betty is survived by her three daughters: Dianne Daugherty, Vicki Foster, and Sheryl Parris, a son: John C. Parris, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, a sister: Evelyn Damrow and a brother: George Bussing.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Berean Baptist Church, with visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Private burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mission Fund at the Berean Baptist Church.
