Obituary for Michael Prine

Michael Prine
James Michael Prine, 71, Springfield, MO went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on January 9, 2018. He was born November 22, 1946, in Springfield, MO to James W. and Jewell M. Prine (Kreider). Mike was united in marriage to Nancy Sue Prine (Craig) February 14, 1997. After completing a tour of duty in Vietnam, serving in the US Navy from 1968-70, he finished his B.S. degree in Business Administration at Southwest Missouri State University. He was an active member of Second Baptist Church. Mike never met a stranger, and enjoyed helping his clients with their insurance needs. He loved his family, friends, fishing and camping, and riding his Harley with the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, James W Prine and is survived by his wife Nancy, his mother Jewell of Springfield, one son Jason and his wife Jennifer of Pierce City, MO, a stepson Terry Wilson and his wife Sarah of Kansas City, MO and two grandchildren Ethan and Ashton Prine of Pierce City. He is also survived by his brother John Prine and his wife Robbie of Branson, MO.

Visitation services will be from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018, at Greenlawn East Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at Smith Cemetery in Rogersville, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bridge of Faith Community Church in Rockaway Beach, MO.
