Ken and his family were kind to my parents, Harry and Pearl Messick. Ken was especially helpful after Harry passed and Mom lived alone long after she should have. Ken would check on Mom daily and make sure that she had groceries and that her cats and dogs were fed. Mom truly enjoyed Ken taking a few minutes to visit with her.
Ken kept an eye on the property. I recall when a tree fell on a fence, Ken removed the tree and patced the fence. He would keep a heat lamp on the the well house during sub-zero weather.
