Protem, MO – Rosemary Lee Dean, 80, left this earth December 31, 2017 from complications resulting from a fall. Rosemary was born April 11, 1937 to Jessie Lee and Loren Albert Webb in West Plains, MO. She grew up in Springfield, MO, graduating from Central High School and later St. John’s School of Nursing. She served as a nurse at St. John’s Hospital for several years. She moved to Protem, MO in the 1970’s with her husband, Bob Dean, where she later retired from Baxter Travenol Laboratories after working as plant nurse at both the Mountain Home and Midway, AR locations at various times.
Rosemary had an adventurous and independent spirit and loved the peacefulness of being in the country and on the lake. There she enjoyed spending time with family and lifelong friends, JoEtta and Richard Buck. She loved animals, enjoyed engaging in good conversation, had a ready laugh, was an avid reader, watcher of CSPAN, movies, and lover of science fiction. Being very tech savvy, she played online chess and skyped with friends in other parts of the world until her death.
She was preceded in death by her father Loren A Webb, her mother, Jessie Lee Webb, her husband Bobby Gene Dean, and her daughter Tanya Lee Durst. She is survived by daughter Martaun Friedhofen-Stockstill, and her husband Tim (of Springfield, MO); daughter Vicky Dean-Spry, and her husband Danny (of Carthage, MO); son, Tim Dean, and his wife LeAnne (of Weatherford, TX); eight granddaughters, one grandson, five great-grandsons, and three great-grandaughters with one on the way.
She will be deeply missed.
Graveside services for Rosemary will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Maple Park Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
