She was recruited after graduating from business school by the Armor Company of Chicago, and moved to Chicago in 1942 to begin her career. Her last will and testament includes a statement of her hope of eternal life through her Savior. “Though I realize the uncertainty of this life, I have full confidence and trust in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in his death on the cross for my sins and in His shed blood as an atonement for my soul; and I know by faith that, because of His sacrifice on the cross for me, I have eternal life.”
