Obituary for Alan Quinton Turner

Alan Quinton Turner
Alan Quinton Turner was born on February 2, 1956 in Springfield, Missouri. He peacefully passed from this life to his heavenly home on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Cox South Hospital.
Alan spent his childhood adventuring through the woods and fields of Christian County, Missouri, on the farm of his Grandma Roma and Grandpa Charles Weter. He was raised in Wichita, Kansas until age 6, when his family moved to Belton, Missouri. Alan loved the Lord and was baptized at age 10 in Springdale Lake, Belton Missouri. He returned to Christian County at age 18, where he met his wife, Regina Maples. Alan and Gina raised their daughters in their home in Nixa, Missouri. Alan worked at General Council of the Assemblies of God for 19 years and Assemblies of God Financial Solutions for 19 years. Alan was a self-less, generous, hard-working, honest and Godly man who was loved by everyone who had the joy of knowing him. He was described by many as having a servant’s heart and was an active member of Fountain of Life Church.
Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents; father-in-law, Leeroye Maples; father, Calbert Turner; and brother, Aaron Turner. He is survived by Regina, his loving wife of 41 years; two daughters, Sarah Wells (Jeremy) and Hannah DeGuzman (Janpierre); 4 grandchildren, Avery and Elias Wells and Micah and Malachi DeGuzman; as well as his mother, Charlene (Weter) Turner; brothers, David Turner (Yolanda), Dennis Turner, Adrian Turner (Kim); sisters, Denise Konnerup and Melissa Turner (David Redding); several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and in-laws. Alan was a wonderful, dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, December 5th at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Funeral services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East on Wednesday, December 6th at 10am. Graveside will be at at Union Ridge Baptist Church, Clever, Missouri following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Disciples Fellowship International, 5411 S. 77th Rd., Walnut Grove, MO 65770.
