Obituary for Laura Frances Elliot

Laura Frances Elliot, 90 of Springfield, MO, formerly Theodosia, MO and Mountain Grove, MO. passed away on September 22, 2017 in Springfield, MO. She was born April 16, 1927 in Vanzant, MO. She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Johnson and her second husband Francis Elliot. Laura was also preceded in death by a son Alfred Lee Johnson, a sister Jean Lockwood, a granddaughter Emily Johnson and her parents. She is survived by her son Robert Joe Johnson and his wife Kathy of Ozawkie, Kansas, her daughter Barbara Jane Withers and her husband Keith of Springfield, MO, her stepdaughter Patsy Copeland, a brother Lawrence Wood and his wife Sue, 8 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends. Laura was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. She enjoyed quilting, painting, and playing piano. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2017 in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in the funeral home with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
