Robert (Chub) Mullings, age 64 of Brighton, MO, died Sunday August 13, 2017, at Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility Bolivar, MO. Chub was born October 1, 1952, in Springfield, MO to Jim and Fay (Wiseman) Mullings. Chub graduated in 1970 from Marion C Early and was drafted by the Detroit Tigers the same year. He was an All-State Baseball Pitcher his senior year in High School. Chub worked at the Paul Mueller Co. for 35 years in the parts department. He was an excellent athlete, loved to hunt, and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Brighton Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew Tim Bryant.
Chub is survived by one sister Rita Bryant of Knob Noster, MO; three brothers: Jim Mullings and wife Ila of Springfield, MO, Joe Mullings of Morrisville, MO, and Tom Mullings of Brighton; three nephews: Danny, Wade, and Billy; three nieces: Polly, Melissa, and Bria; as well as a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Pitts Chapel. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
