Obituary for Ruby Avanelle Coday (Borders)

Ruby Avanelle Coday, 84, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2017, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri. She was born March 13, 1933 in Malden, Missouri to James and Bernice Borders. She married Melvin Lee Coday on May 22, 1953. Avenelle also lived in St. Clair and Springfield, Missouri. She had worked for the Von Wise Gear Company, retiring in 1993.
Avanelle attended an Assembly of God church, doing volunteer work, teaching Sunday School and Children’s Church. She enjoyed gardening and creating floral arrangements.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Berniece Borders, husband; Melvin Coday, brother; Ken Borders, sister-in-law; Dee Ann Borders, and brother-in-law; Doug Elliott, Avanelle is survived by 1 son; Timothy Melvin Coday and daughter-in-law, Lisa Coday, step-grandchildren; Justin, Patrick and Collin Hickerson, 3 brothers; Ken, Bill, and Carl Borders, 3 sisters; Catherine Hargrove, Bonnie Cookson, Sonja Elliott,
