Obituary for Robert Moore

Robert C. Moore, 72, Springfield, Missouri departed this life Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his home.
He was born December 23, 1944 to Robert D. and Geraldine M. (Cook) Moore in Springfield, Missouri.
Robert graduated from Cathedral High School in El Paso, Texas.
Earlier in life, he worked for City of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, doing plant care and landscaping.
He enjoyed horticulture and the landscaping work he done with Wickman Gardens in Springfield, Missouri.
He was an accomplished artist, having many lessons in Art and Painting from Charles Summy for several years.
Robert also enjoyed collecting coins, knives and painting. He was a devoted man with a great sense of humor, embellishing stories to increase amusement and entertainment with great wit.
Robert was man who enjoyed classical music and the late and great Johnny Cash.
He also enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Immediate survivors include his sister Barbara Holaday and husband Steve of Rogersville, Missouri, his nephew Thomas Holaday of Independence, Missouri, his niece, Miranda Holaday-Lyon and husband Mark of Whitesboro, Texas, cousins, David and Susan Boyd, John Patrick Boyd, Sarah and Emma Boyd and Linda and Harry Davis, all of Springfield, Missouri.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2017 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the charity of choice.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, Missouri.
