Obituary for Helen Irene Kootz
Helen Irene Kootz (Presley), age 78 of Pleasant Hope, MO, passed away June 2, 2017 in Parker, CO, with her daughter and daughter’s family by her side. She was born June 12, 1938 in Brighton, MO, the daughter of Tony and Velma Presley (Killingsworth). Irene attended Marion C. Early school.
Irene was a full-time stay at home mother and wife. She was a godly woman and enjoyed gospel music and family.
Irene was preceded in death by her spouse of 51 years, Albert Leon Kootz; her parents, Tony and Velma Presley; and her brothers, Dean Presley and Norman Presley.
Irene is survived by 3 children; Mike and Debbie Kootz of Pleasant Hope, MO; Mark Kootz of Springfield, MO; Christina and Bryan Hansen of Parker, CO; 7 grandchildren; Darla Allison, Missy Cansler, Matt Kootz, Kaitlyn Hansen, Tyler Hansen, Allison Hansen, Jacqueline Hansen; 8 great grandchildren; Keira, Emilie, Alyssa, Ryan, Kryder, Chance, Gavin, Harlow; 3 sisters; Ilene Falk, Kay Mason, Linda and Garry Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 9th, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 10th, 2017 at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brighton Cemetery, Brighton, MO.
