Obituary for Joyce Elaine Carlson (Blunt)
Joyce Elaine Carlson, age 78, of Springfield passed away Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at Cox Hospital South after a couragous battle with cancer.
Joyce was born October 14, 1940 in Omaha, NB to Art and Margaret Blunt. Joyce graduated as Salutatorian from Mountain Grove High School. She was united in marriage to Richard "Swede" Carlson on December 31, 1987 in Springfield, MO. Joyce worked as a Real Estate agent for Hanks Realty and Gaslight Realty.She loved a good garage sale, she collected elephants, her favorite thing to do was crossword puzzles.
Survivors include her four children, Mike Webb and wife Sherry, Marty Webb, Julie King and husband Kenny, and Jenny Webb; six grandchilden; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Byron Blunt and wife Linda; and a host of family and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard Carlson; her parents, Art and Margaret Blunt; and twin daughters, Brenda and Glenda Webb.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm, Monday, October 7, 2019, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Private graveside services will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Joyce's name to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
