Obituary for Thurman Junior Cook
Thurman (Grandpa) Junior Cook, age 85, Nixa passed away Thursday, January 17th, 2019 at Mercy Hospital.
Thurman is survived by his four sons, Edwin Cook and wife Elaine, Nixa, Danny Cook and wife Willa, Nixa, Randy Cook and wife Glenda, Nixa, and Doug Cook, Nixa; two daughters, Debbie Willimas, Mountain View, AR, and Diane Walker and husband Dick, Nixa; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchilden; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Newman, Nixa; two brothers, Mickey Cook and wife Donna, Highlandville, MO, Larry cook and wife Eve, Ozark; one brother-in-law, Gerald Daum; and a host of family and freinds. He was prceded in death by his loving wife Laura Mae Newman Cook; parents Leonard and Irene (Jones) Cook; brother-in-law, Joe Max Newman; sister-in-law, Marilou Daum; sister-in-law, Annabell Newman; and granddaughter, Hannah Camille Cook.
A celebration of Thurman's life will be held Monday, January 21st, 2019 at 2:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home - South 441 West Battlefield Springfield, Missouri 65807, with burial to follow at Payne Cemetery in Nixa, MO. The family will recieve friends and family from 1-2pm , Monday in the funeral home.
