Charles Hubert Reichert, age 83, of Republic, MO for the past 38 years, passed away on January 16, 2019 in Springfield, MO.
He was born on August 10, 1935 in Brunswick, MO to Otto and Bertha (Reigelsberger) Reichert. He served in the U.S. Army. Charles married Virginia Lee (Verfurth) on January 25, 1958 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Billings, MO. Charles retired from American National Property and Casualty Insurance Company in Springfield, MO after 23 years of employment. Charles was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Billings, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings: Donald (Lou) Reichert, Robert Reichert and JoAnn Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lee Reichert, three children and their spouses: Curtis (Cindy) Reichert, Craig (Gaile) Reichert and Cara Reichert. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Tanner, Taran, Nathan, Nicholas, Alex, Leah, one brother Michael (Jean) Reichert, three sisters: Eleanor (Ray) Richardson, Virginia (Lawrence deceased) McCurry, Lillian (Robert) Widmer of Salisbury, MO and 1 brother-in-law, Sam Johnson.
Rosary services will be on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 6:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South with visitation following from 6:30 to 8:00 pm in the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Billings, MO with the burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery, Billings, MO.
