James (J.B) Hedgpeth
J.B., age 87, passed away December 4, 2018 in Mercy Hospital. J.B. was born August 15, 1931 in Nixa, Missouri to Victor and Thelma (Sanders) Hedgpeth. He graduated from Clever High School and attended Draughon’s Business College. He married Bonnie Ann Roy in 1951. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War. He received the Purple Heart and many other medals. J.B. worked at Cave Carburetor for 26 years. Many people will remember J.B. for opening prayer on Sunday mornings at Charity Baptist Church where he was a member. J.B. is survived by his wife of 67 years Bonnie, son Randy of Springfield, and one brother, Leroy Hedgpeth. Also, a very special niece, Sue Carter and many other nieces and nephews which he loved very much. A Memorial service will be held on December 10, 2018 in Greenlawn South at 3 pm with visitation following the memorial service in the funeral home. Interment will be on a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Union Ridge Cemetery, Clever MO.
