Obituary for Cornelia Loretta Freeman (Baker)

Cornelia B. Freeman, 91, passed away, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in Hollister, MO. Cornelia was born in 1927, in Dade City, FL. She was a graduate of Bethune Cookman College, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree, in Elementary Education. After marrying, she spent the majority of her life in Boonton Township, NJ, where she taught as an elementary school teacher, a profession that she adored. She retired in 1998 from Rockaway Valley School in Boonton Township. During her life in NJ, Cornelia was also a part of the Boonton Township Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary, a member of The Community Church of Mountain Lakes, and K-Group. In addition she tutored in the SCEEP program at the church. Cornelia, is preceded in death, by her husband Jack P. Freeman. She is survived by their three daughters Maxine Freeman Ficklin, Lydia Freeman Williams, and Paula Freeman DeHart, her sister Rebeckah Mitchell, nine grandchildren, and 2 great-grand children.
Visitation and services will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Friday, November 23, at Greenlawn Funeral Home, in Branson, MO.
