James E. Orr, age 83, passed away on August 7, 2018 in his home in Rogersville, MO. James was born on February 22, 1935 in St. Louis, MO and he got his Master’s Degree from Mizzou. He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years, then he taught high school shop and English before working for the state employment agency, retiring after 30 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce I. Orr. James is survived by his children, James A. and his wife Lisa Orr, John Orr, Jeanne and her husband Mark Onstott, three grandchildren, Eric Slater, Laurie Orr and Michael Orr.
Visitation will be in Redeemer Lutheran Church from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2018 with the service following at 3:00 pm in the church. Inurnment will be in the columbarium wall at Redeemer Lutheran Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.
