Sammy Lee McGee, born in Springfield MO on August 17, 1938, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family and friends on July 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents Marvin Lee McGee and Evelyn Frances Nickle McGee, and his in laws Preston White and Dorthey Bross White, his sister in law Dottie Lyn White Richardson, brother in law Daniel L Calhoun, grandson Connor Daniel Clayman.


He is survived by his wife Donna Sue White McGee; his sister Kay McGee Devries ( Larry Devries); his sons Rex (Corrina McGee), Rick (Amy McGee), Rob (Lori McGee); Grandchildren Brittlee McGee Flynn (DJ Flynn), Austin McGee ( Alex Bouse McGee), Teariie McGee Clayman, Lauren Bowman, Jordan McGee, Miranda McGee Curtis (Alex Curtis), Dallas McGee, Michael Bowman (Britney Breyfogle Bowman), Logan McGee, Mason McGee, Maverick McGee, Hannah Bowman, Sydney McGee, Benji Bowman, MaKayla McGee, Marshall McGee, Jasper McGee; Great Grandchildren Aubryn Flynn, Wyatt Flynn, Everett Flynn; Sisters in Law Lynette White Calhoun, Lauralea White Oxenreider (Tim Oxenreider), brother in law Preston White.


Sammy married his loving wife Donna on October 20, 1961. He worked for City Utilities for 29 years as a city bus operator. He was in the Army National Guard, and was Student Body President at Central High School. He was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and was loved by every single one. He will be greatly missed.
