Donald Gene Childers, age 84 of Springfield, Missouri loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed from his earthly life on June 3, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lucille, two sisters and his son-in-law, Dolph Halcomb. He is survived by his son, Brett Childers and wife Joy, daughter Stacey Halcomb, grandson Christopher Childers and wife Kristen, great-granddaughters, Hadley and Aria, Donald’s sister, Annie Anderson and brother, Charles Childers and wife Rita. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
