Obituary for J D Cooper

Funeral services for J. D. Cooper age 94, of Branson, Missouri will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson with Rev. Raylene Willcox officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

He passed away on June 2, 2018 at Cox Medical Center in Branson.

J.D. was born on October 4, 1923 in Marmaduke, Arkansas the son the Clarence and Arlie White Cooper. He was an U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. He had worked in sales of home improvements before his retirement. He moved to Branson 10 years ago from Kirkwood, Missouri.

Survivors are his three children: Brenda Lawler of Kirkwood, Missouri, Jerry Cooper and Ronnie Cooper both of St. Louis, Missouri. Two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Jewell Cooper and second wife, Helen Cooper, two brothers and two sisters.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are suggested to the American Cancer Society in his memory.
