Obituary for Emerson "Em" Fogle

Emerson "Em"  Fogle
Emerson "Em" Lee Fogle, 69, passed away in his home near Springfield, MO. on Sunday, May 27, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born on July 20, 1948, in Freeport, Illinois, to Verle and Betty (Kuntzelman) Fogle. He attended Leaf River High School, and then attained his Bachelor of Science Degree from Illinois State University (1970). He worked at Kraft Foods in Melrose, MN, where he met and married his wife Lisa "Lee" (Hult) in 1977. Then he worked with Nortel Networks for 26 years, (1980 to 2006) in Minneapolis, MN., Santa Clara, CA. and retired from Nortel in Nashville, TN. He then worked at Flextronics in Memphis, TN. (2006-2011) as Logistics Senior Director where over 2,000 people reported to him.
Emerson was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, of 40 years, Lisa "Lee", his daughter, Dana Marie Fogle, grandson, Jacob "Jake" Fogle, his brother Gary (Debra) Fogle, their children: Megan (Chad) Rosenstiel, Stephanie (Ben) Tiefenthaler, and Allison Fogle, and his brother Mike (Sandy) Fogle, and their children: Alex, Sarah, and Alisha.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by a service on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. All are welcome to a Celebration of Em's Life at their home following the service.
In honor of Em's love for fishing, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to: Teach A child To Fish. Their mission is to teach and mentor underprivileged, disabled and less fortunate children through fishing programs, education, and activities. www.teachachildtofish.net
