Condolence: Dear family, Almost 20 years ago Jim took a Southwestern Bell repair technician crew from AR and MO and headed North. We worked our way up to Michigan, I was the only “girl” in the group of 22 men. Jim made sure that we were always well taken care of. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciated him as well as did the other guys. We only stayed in the best hotels. Jim would somehow have our clothes laundered everyday. We drove our company vans, Jim drove his Ford pick up with a large bar be que grill in the back. He would have dinner ready for us on many occasions when we came in, whatever we wanted. While we were in Michigan Jim would tell us to go look at Lake Superior everyday because you guys and gal probably won’t ever see it again and he was right. No matter what happened he was ALWAYS cool, calm and collected. Jim was so soft spoken that when he would call our next destination city to tell them we were coming and they saw him, they were shocked at his stature. I called him the gentle giant. He would take us to Canada to the casino. On weekends he would rent several vehicles so we could tour other areas of the state. He always spoke lovingly of his siblings and his son and daughter. On one occasion a technician in a crew from California was harassing me at breakfast. Jim had the whole crew moved from our hotel. I wish I could have had Jim as my supervisor in AR. He was the best. Whenever I think of him I have to smile. Thank you for sharing him with the world. I’ll miss him forever.

Condolence: All my love and sympathies to Jim's family and friends. I first "met" him over the radio a few years ago helping with the Friday HF radio net the NWS offices run as a part of the office to office backup communications practice (Skywarn related). Then I "bumped" into him again on the VoIP Hurricane Net group as I was learning the ropes with Hurricane Matthew in 2016. I really do appreciate all his kind patience and skill as I was getting up to speed to help as well on the radio. He was a big hearted guy who was very devoted to helping others when they were facing really difficult situations. Working alongside him last year with Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria was an extraordinary experience. I'm glad he got to continue doing the assistance that he loved and thank you for making that easier for him. Peace to all of you and to Jim who has walked beyond now.

Condolence: Jim was an awesome guy, taken way too soon. He came from a great family, some of whom he has now been reunited with in that resplendent undiscovered country. For Jo, Jean, John and the rest of Jim's surviving family, we grieve with you; your loss is overwhelming and heartbreaking. Let the love between you all be your balm and your guide. All our love and good thoughts go with you all. Jim 'Mad Dog' Sellars will not be forgotten.

Condolence: I'm so sorry for your loss. I'd like to share some real hope with you. In Psalms 146:4 tells the condition of the dead. "His breath goes forth, he returns to the earth and that very day his thoughts perish." In Acts 24:15 the bible promises a resurrection of our loved ones back to earth. When Jesus resurrected Lazarus from the dead, he brought him back to earth. He's going to do that on a much larger scale in the future. In Psalms 37:11+29 says man will live forever on the earth in peace. That was God's original purpose, for Adam and Eve to live forever in the garden of eden. God's purpose hasn't changed. In Isaiah 45:18 says God created the earth to be inhabited. That's why he gave his son to die for us, John 3:16, so we could have everlasting life. In Revelation 21:4 says there'll be no more pain or death. Since there's no pain or death in heaven, those are future conditions on earth under God's kingdom arrangement. JW.org
