Obituary for Muriel Margaret Walt (Manthei)
Funeral Services for Muriel M. Walt, age 95 of Hollister, Missouri will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May23, 2018 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson with Pastor Jeff Wilcox officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 24, 2018 in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson.
She died on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at her home.
She was born on May 23, 1922 in Donaldson, Minnesota the daughter of Julius Manthei and Lillian Zachow Manthei. She was a retired Delinquent Tax Investigator for the Internal Revenue Service. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Branson and had been a resident of the area for the past 28 years.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Keith Walt of Hollister, MO., two sons: Curtis Keith Walt and wife Linda (Nelson) of Fairfield, OH., Douglas Earl Walt and wife Janet (Dinkheller) of Rogers, AR., three grandchildren: Taylor Walt, Garrett Walt and wife Erin, Julius Walt and wife Jamie and one great-granddaughter, Emrys Walt. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings; Harold Manthei, Milton Manthei and Wallace Manthei.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the Benevolent Fund at First Baptist Church, 400 S. Sunshine Street, Branson, MO. 65616.
