Mr. Cheslie George Mincks, age 90 of Bolivar, MO, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018, at Citizens Memorial Hospital Bolivar, MO. He was born March 23, 1928, in Buffalo, MO, to Lester Lafe and Eula Ann (Smith) Mincks. He was united in marriage to Thelma Ileen Mackey August 21, 1948, in Polk County, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 54 years Thelma Ileen Mincks; a daughter Linda Sue Nicholson; two son in-laws: Glenn Nicholson, and Jimmie McCullough; three sisters: Bertha Jarvis, Rose Kirby, and Chestine Ahart; four brothers: Leonard, Willard, Herschel, and Leslie Mincks; one great grandson Cheslie Anderson; and one great granddaughter Allison Parrott.
He is survived by three children: Sharon McCullough of Belton, MO, Brenda Peek and husband Roger of Peculiar, MO, Steve Mincks and wife Cindy of Freeman, MO; nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren with 1 on the way; one sister Ruth Neal of Bolivar, MO; five brothers: Paul Mincks of Cliquot, MO, Boyd Mincks of Bolivar, MO, Lester “LJ” Mincks of El Dorado Springs, MO, Kenny Mincks and his wife Sue of Bolivar, MO, and Bill Mincks and his wife Emma of Bolivar, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 25, 2018, at Pitts Chapel Bolivar, MO. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery Bolivar, MO.
