Billy Joe  Caldwell
Billy Joe Caldwell, age 85, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 in the comfort of his home in Niangua, MO with his daughter by his side. He was born January 15, 1933 in Yolyn, West Virginia to William and Beatrice Caldwell. He enjoyed joking, laughing, blues music, watching a good movie, eating a fancy restaurants (with real tableclothes, of course), giving people a hard time, working on his house, playing games, traveling, a good glass of wine or a manhattan, and above all else, spending time with family. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Leonard Caldwell, sister Thelma Kessler, son Michael Caldwell, his wife Ona Lee Caldwell and a grandson Jeremy John Lee Brouse. Left to honor and remember his love are Billy's four children, Debbie (Steve) Watkins, Doug (Janet) Caldwell, Melodie (Brian) Quinn, and Leanna Peine; nine grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Shedd, Kimberly (Bobby) Lewis, Michael (Charlotte) Carter, Andy (Amy) Harper, Cassie Loyd-Allen, Nathan Brouse, Jasmine (Matt) Robinson, Trevor Brouse and Kathleen Walton ; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and his dogs Charlie and Rascal. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16 from noon to one o'clock at Greenlawn Funeral Home - North 3506 North National, Springfield, MO 65803. The service will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens - 5234 State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802.
