Obituary for Alice Mae Emhoff (Peck)

Alice Mae  Emhoff (Peck)
Alice Mae Emhoff, 90, of Fair Grove, Missouri, went to be with her maker on the morning of May 09, 2018 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. Mike & Sheri Emhoff. Alice was born March 31, 1928, in Independence Kansas, to Lee and lIa Peck. She was the Eldest of nine siblings. Alice grew up in the Cave Springs area and attended Willard Schools. While working at a local cafe in Willard, Mo. She met a handsome sailor, William "Wig" Emhoff. They married October 15th 1947 and welcomed their only child, Michael Lee Emhoff in the spring of 1949. Alice & "Wig" spent 59 blessed years together. Alice was preceded in death by her husband William, brothers Bill, Gene, and Charley Peck, and a sister Florence Marie Peck. Alice is survived by two sisters, Shirley Goodman of Springfield & Eula Chancey, of Ozark Arkansas, two brothers, Dyrle Peck & Bert Peck, Springfield, her son Mike and wife Sheri of Fair Grove; four grandchildren, Amy and husband John Holland of Fair Grove, lIa and husband, Thomas Grunwald of Dresden, Germany, Tim and wife Rachel of Charlotte Hall, Maryland, and Debra and husband, Quentin Everson of Bolivar, and twelve great grandchildren, Maegan & Elizabeth Holland, Louise & Liam Grunwald, Evie, lIee, Ayla & Ziva Emhoff, Evan, Myla, Anna & Nora Everson. Alice loved her family and she loved cooking. She will be greatly missed by all.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery 5201 South Southwood Springfield, MO under the care of Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, May 14, 2018 in the funeral home.
