Condolence: Scott was a treasured colleague on the tax newsgroups. He had great insight and much empathy for the challenges and foibles affecting all of us, his long-distance friends.

I just heard, on the tax newsgroup, about his passing. All of his family and friends have my deepest sympathy on your loss, and I will pray that you are comforted. In this life, by having had him in your lives for years and knowing he was treasured by many you will never meet. And in hopes that in the life to come you are reunited. I hope to meet him there some day.

Condolence: I never met Scott, I only knew him through the internet. Yet, I felt as if he was a best friend. The last email I received from Scott was very positive; it sounded that the doctors knew what was wrong and that Scott would recover quickly; now my friend is gone. I will remember Scott and his family in my prayers.
