Obituary for Rex Lee Asselin

Rex Lee  Asselin
Rex Lee Asselin of Walnut Shade, Missouri was born on June 21, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri the son of Vi & Lyn Edwards Asselin.

He passed away on May 6, 2018 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 73 years.

Rex was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of the Branson High School with the class of 1962. He was a member of the Sanctuary of Hope in Branson and was an U.S. Army Veteran. He worked for many years with his family with the Sammy Lane Boat lines in Branson, Missouri and was also at one time a realtor for many years. He was united in marriage to Susan Leek on May 21, 1966 at Williams Chapel at Point Lookout, Missouri and to this union was born four children.

He is survived by his wife; Susan Asselin of the home in Walnut Shade, Missouri and three children; Brian Asselin (Jami) of Reeds Spring, Missouri, Angela George (Justin) of Blue Eye, Missouri and Heather Davidson (Dustin) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. One brother, Larry Asselin (Vicki) of Irvine, California and a sister, Sandy West (Jack) of Little Rock, Arkansas. 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Alecia Brown.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 4:30 until 7:00 PM at The Paddle Wheel, 9 South Boardwalk, Branson, Missouri. Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson.
