Obituary for Geraldine Roberta Tracy (Lambeth)

Geraldine Roberta (Lambeth) Tracy, 99, of Springfield, passed away on May 5, 2018 in Birch Point Health and Rehabilitation, Springfield, MO. She was born on January 28, 1919 in Buffalo, MO, the daughter of John and Maude (Beck) Lambeth. On July 1, 1944 she married Richard Tracy of Fair Grove, MO.
Geraldine taught school in the communities of March and Foose in Dallas County. She later worked at Reynolds Manufacturing in Springfield. She then married and raised her daughters, Janet and Gayla. In 1965 she began working at Ohio National Life Insurance Company and retired in 1983.
She was a faithful member of High Street Baptist Church for almost 70 years, after accepting Christ as her Savior at a tent revival led by Reverend W.E. Dowell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; brothers, Bertram, Wayne and Clinton Lambeth: sisters, Hazel Lilley, Faye Wyrick and Jeanne Wallace. She is survived by daughters, Janet Tracy of Springfield, Gayla Arnold and husband Dallas of Prairie Grove, AR; granddaughter Jaclyn Williams and husband Jeremiah of Bentonville, AR; great-granddaughters, BreAnn, LeAnn and Summer Williams. She is also survived by her sister, Jenora Sharpe, brother-in-law, Vernal Tracy and wife Yvonne; sisters-in-law, Virginia Johnson, Sue Bates and husband Wayne, Darline Dill and husband Gail, Betty Tracy and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, May 10 in the funeral home with burial following in Cedar Bluff Cemetery in Fair Grove, MO.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missions Fund at High Street Baptist Church, Springfield, MO.
