Jo Ann Wilhoit (Goss)
Jo Ann Wilhoit, age 91, passed away on May 1, 2018. Jo Ann was born March 10, 1927 to John and Lona Goss. She spent her childhood years living near Pleasant Hope, MO. During the war years the family moved to the state of Washington. They returned to Missouri and bought a family farm. After marrying Robert Wilhoit, she spent the rest of her life living in the Springfield area. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and the B.G. Chapter of P.E.O. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wilhoit, her parents John and Lona Goss, and her brother Gary Goss. She is survived by her son, Christopher L. Wilhoit (Frankie) and daughter, Tracy Jo Fay (Forrest), her grandchildren Hollis Wilhoit and McKenzi Jump (Gerry) , her sister, Patty McCall, sister-in-law, Jane Goss, numerous nieces and nephews, and close friends.
A funeral service for Jo Ann will be held Friday, May 4th at 2:00 at St. John's Episcopal Church. Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Robert Wilhoit Endowed Scholarship Fund at Drury University, or to St. John's Episcopal Church
