Obituary for Maxine Hathcock

Maxine Hathcock
Mrs. L. Maxine Hathcock passed away peacefully this past Wednesday evening, April 25th, 2018. Born in Washington Park, IL on September 12th, 1928, she was the third and youngest child of Luke and Jesse Johnson. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Elmus and sister Mary.

Maxine is survived by her three children Ila Marqitz of Fleming Island, FL; Leo Marshall of Saint Louis, MO and Janet Fortney of Springfield, MO. She is also survived by her six grandchildren Janelle, and husband Steve, Snyder of Fleming Island, FL; Matt, and his wife Elizabeth, Trudell of High Ridge, MO; Jimmy, and his wife Katie, Marshall of Wentzville, MO; Jonathan Marshall of Saint Louis, MO; Katie Fortney of Chicago, IL and Mark Hoover of Springfield, MO; as well as six great-grandchildren, with one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.

To the many friends and family of Maxine, you are invited to a memorial service in her honor on Monday, April 30th at South Haven Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. Visitation begins at 11:00 AM, followed by a service at noon. A burial service will be held the following day, Tuesday, May 1st at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.

In lieu of floral arrangements, Maxine's family is requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association to honor her memory.
